Presenting legendary queer vocal group Schwanzen Sängerknaben reunited with Livingstones Kabinet in an ambitious, newly written, newly composed show with music.
THE EINSTEIN OF SEX is a stylized, musical docu-performance about a prominent group of sex-researchers in the early 1900's in Germany and their leader Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld. From the dawn of the twentieth century until the nazis closed their institution in Berlin, this group campaigned for sexual freedom, and in particular for the rights of homosexuals. Their story serves as the frame for a deeply human and provocative study of public attitudes to the range of sexual behaviours exhibited by men, women and everyone in between; a journey which which spans a century. THE EINSTEIN OF SEX combines song, dance, video art and performance in a tightly-directed, sexy, absurdly comic and wldly inventive celebration of the gamut of human sexuality.
