THE BOOK OF JOB
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
Thus begins the Book of Job in the Old Testament. One of the most frightening yet poetic tales ever told about the relationship between the powerful and those who lie in their power, between the punisher and the punished.
Livingstones Kabinet present a new and radical interpretation of this old story.
We meet two singing men, each at his grand piano, a kind of demonic "Fabulous Baker Boys". They take a good, upright man and cast him into a nightmare. Why? …. because they can.
Darkly funny, touching and thought-provoking with newly composed music by Pete Livingstone.

"Both funny and evil!".

"The special British sense of humour is always to the fore...
The pleasures are many, the concept as perplexing as The Book of Job itself ...overwhelming".
